Photos

These are some photos I took in the half term. I will use some of these for my magazine. I used a range of shots, angles and different styles (i.e. black and white)
This would be one I'd use on my contents page.

This is one I'd use for my photostrip if I have enough space for it.

Photograph Ideas

These are some ideas I put down for poses and angles for my magazine shoot. I put down what angles I should use, what sort of lighting would be good and the location of the shoots. This will help me when doing my actual photoshoots because I will have an idea as to which shots work best and look the best.

Risk Assesment

This is my risk assesment I completed before I took my photographs. It's important to do a risk assesment as you need to be aware of the risks you're putting yourself and others in. I needed to think about all the possible things which could be harmful and fill it on the form and making sure I knew what to do if these things occured.
Thanks to the completion of my risk assesment I and the person I was taking photos of were safe throughout.

Plans for the two weeks

After half term I only have two weeks to finish my magazine, therefore I will do one page a lesson. By the end of the first week I should have my pages set up and almost finished. Then during the last week I will go back to each page and make it as good as possible. By friday of the last week everything should be finished and I should be just adding the finishing touches, checking over spelling, making sure everything is visable and easy to read etc.

Photography

Over the half term I took my photos for the double page article. I used some props when taking the photos, but I've decided against using any props. I took some pictures indoors and some outdoors, giving my photos more of a variety. In the photostrip I was supposed to use two kittens in one of them; however they decided not to turn up all day and stay outside somewhere, so I didn't get the chance to shoot with them.
I have also taken the reminder of the pictures for my contents page, featuring an older person to go with the theme of the magazine and show that the magazine focuses on new and older music artists. This featured props of a cigarette, a piano and a guitar.
I will now chose two pictures for the contents page and four for the double page article to go in to my magazine.
I may not put a photostrip on my double page article because there may not be enough space with the text and I don't want it to interfear with my larger photograph. Even if I don't include the three pictures in the photostrip, I'll still have four photographs. (one on the front, two in the contents page and one on the double page article)
